Daily Itinerary
Day 1 - Sunday, 11/10/2024 - Dinner
Fly to Phoenix, AZ
Meet your Tour Manager and transfer to Tucson to check into your resort for a five-night stay.  Tucson gets more sun than any other city in the US with 350 days each year.  Settle in before tonight’s Welcome Dinner at the resort.
Day 2 - Monday, 11/11/2024 - Breakfast
Tucson / Air & Space Museum
This morning enjoy a Tucson City Tour to see Barrio Historico, the finest collection of adobe homes in the Southwest, and the historic University of Arizona Campus and University District. Enjoy free time for lunch and shopping at the Old Town Artisans Tucson District. Located on the site of El Presidio San Augustin del Tucson, the fort was built by the Spanish in 1775. The 150-year-old adobe building has six distinctive shops & galleries. Next visit the Pima Air & Space Museum to enjoy a one-hour narrated tram tour covering the 80 acres with more than 150 airplanes. Then have time to explore the numerous hangars and exhibits.  Later visit the famous Mission San Xavier del Bac, a National Historic Landmark. Known as “The White Dove of The Desert,” it was founded as a Catholic mission in 1692 and is the oldest intact European structure in Arizona. Return to the resort for an evening on your own.
Day 3 - Tuesday, 11/12/2024 - Breakfast - Dinner
Bisbee / Tombstone
Today take a trip back to the Old West as you visit historic Bisbee. Following the discovery of gold, lead, zinc, and copper in the nearby Mule Mountains, Bisbee grew to a population of 20,000 residents and the largest city between St. Louis and San Francisco in the early 1900’s. It was voted the “Best Historic Small Town in America”. Don hardhats and slickers and experience the Queen Mine Tour 1,500 feet below ground. Then you will have time to explore the colorful and well preserved architecture, winding streets and alleys.  Next travel to Tombstone, in its early days Tombstone was a rough and tumble silver-mining town made famous by the O.K. Corral gunfight. Today, you can walk where Wyatt Earp walked, see where the infamous Gunfight at the O.K. Corral took place, visit American Old West historic places such as the Tombstone Courthouse and Bird Cage Theatre. Stop at the infamous Boothill Cemetery, just outside of Tombstone, then travel back to Tucson. This evening dinner is at a popular local restaurant featuring Southwest cuisine.
Day 4 - Wednesday, 11/13/2024 - Breakfast
Kartchner Caverns / Free Time
This morning visit Kartchner Caverns State Park and enter the secret underground world millions of years in the making featuring exotic cave formations rarely seen elsewhere. Discover delicate soda straw formations, gravity-defying helictites and drapes of waving flowstone.  Return to the resort for an afternoon and evening at leisure.  Relax at your fabulous resort by the pool, visit the spa, or maybe venture out for a hike, a round of golf, or to a local restaurant.
Day 5 - Thursday, 11/14/2024 - Breakfast - Dinner
Saguaro National Park
After breakfast depart for the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum to explore the over 90 acres the museum has to offer. This unique museum offers exhibits, vignettes, and collections illustrating the beauty & diversity of the native environment. With 85% of the museum being outdoors, you will get to experience over 1,400 native plant and animal species, naturally. This afternoon visit Saguaro National Park. The iconic and giant saguaro is the universal symbol of the American west. These majestic plants are found only in a small portion of the United States and are protected by Saguaro National Park. Stop at the Visitor Center and head into the west end of the park to view large stands of saguaro cacti. A Farewell Dinner is included this evening with your new found friends at a popular local restaurant.
