I just booked with AFC. What can I expect now?
You’ll receive an emailed booking confirmation with your booking details, payment dates, and balance information. A payment reminder will automatically be emailed to you 110 days prior to departure.

When is my final payment due?
Final payment is due 90 days prior to departure.

When will I receive my travel documents?
Detailed travel documents are mailed directly to you 2–3 weeks prior to departure. They include your home pick-up time, detailed flight itinerary, weather information, packing tips, and much more.

Does AFC cover airline baggage fees?
No, AFC does not cover airline baggage fees. Since fees vary by airline, we recommend checking the airline’s website directly for the most current baggage fees and policies.

Is gratuity included for our home pick-up driver?
Yes, AFC takes care of the gratuity on your behalf.

When will I meet my Tour Manager?
Your Tour Manager will meet you and the rest of the arriving group at your destination airport and will be with you throughout your tour.

What does each Activity Level mean?
Level One: Easy Pace - Walking/standing for shorter periods on level ground. Shorter tour days, with more rest options and free time.

Level Two: Moderate Pace - More Walking / standing daily, walking on uneven ground. Rest options available. Some early morning departures.

Level Three: Moderately Active Pace - Active walking daily, some hiking, uneven terrain, hills, and steps. Less rest options available. Active sightseeing, early starts, evening activities, and significant travel times possible.

Level Four: Active Pace - Heavy walking daily, some hiking, hills, steps, and on uneven terrain. Very few rest options available. Consistently robust pace, very full and active days with early morning departures, possibly extended travel times, and use of different modes of local transport.
