Day 1 - Tuesday, 3/19/2024 - Fly to Italy Transfer to the airport for your overnight flight to Florence. Buon Viaggio! |
Day 2 - Wednesday, 3/20/2024 - Arrive Florence Arrive in Florence, meet your Tour Manager and transfer to your Tuscan Hotel in charming Chianti for a seven night stay. This evening enjoy a Welcome Dinner of Tuscan favorites and locally produced wine with your fellow travelers. - Dinner |
Day 3 - Thursday, 3/21/2024 - Florence / Tuscan Estate Today enjoy a Florence City Tour featuring a visit to the Academy Gallery to see Michelangelo’s original Statue of David, a truly awesome sight. Then view the Cathedral to see Giotto’s Bell Tower and Baptistry with its impressive ‘Gates of Paradise’. Also see the open-air museum of Piazza Della Signoria & Santa Croce, which houses the tombs of Michelangelo and Galileo. Later this afternoon travel to a lovely Tuscan Estate, where you will be greeted with a welcome drink. Then enjoy a Truffle Demonstration with access to a protected area on the property followed by delicious tastings of oil and truffle butter bruschetta, salami, pecorino, and wines from the estate. Next, a wonderful dinner before returning to your hotel in Chianti for the night. - Breakfast - Dinner |
Day 4 - Friday, 3/22/2024 - Cooking Class / Winery Today enjoy an Organic Cooking & Pasta Making Class in Chianti. You will be greeted with a Welcome Drink to enjoy while the chef discusses the class. The staff will assist you with your aprons and chef hats. Let the cooking fun begin! At the end of the class you will eat and enjoy what you have prepared for lunch. Later this afternoon visit a local winery for a Winery Tour & Tasting experience. Sample organically farmed extra virgin olive oil, vinegar and Chianti Classico Wine. Dinner is included this evening. - Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner |
Day 5 - Saturday, 3/23/2024 - Cheese / Wine & Music Travel to the incredibly picturesque Val d’Orcia Region. Stop for a delicious typical Pecorino Cheese Tasting. Then, in a traditional farmhouse in Montalcino, you will enjoy a multi-sensory experience of music and wine! Four wines will be matched with music tracks selected by a local Sommelier. Later, just outside Siena, we will visit a local Tuscan farmhouse with an opportunity to meet the owner and enjoy dinner featuring typical Tuscany dishes paired with their local wines. - Breakfast - Dinner |
Day 6 - Sunday, 3/24/2024 - Siena / San Gimignano Travel to Siena, the heart of Tuscany. Enjoy a Siena Walking Tour and stroll the medieval streets to the dramatic Campo, scene of the annual Palio horse race. Also see the town’s famous black and white striped cathedral and enjoy some time at leisure. Enjoy lunch at a family-run farmhouse that specializes in saffron production outside Siena. Later, travel to San Gimignano, the epitome of a Tuscan hill town, where nobles built more splendid towers to outdo one another. The medieval structures of this city have largely remained intact. Next enjoy a delicious gelato ice cream in one of the oldest gelaterias in Italy, and famous for unique flavors. Taste the saffron & pine nuts gelato, a registered trademark. Day 7 - Monday, 3/25/2024 - At Leisure / Optional Tour Today is at your leisure to relax at the hotel, enjoy the spa or explore on your own. An optional tour will be available today. - Breakfast |
Day 8 - Tuesday, 3/26/2024 - Lake Trasimeno Begin your morning with a hearty breakfast and journey to Lake Trasimeno in the Umbria Region of Tuscany. Free time to explore and walk around the medieval town of Tuoro, considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Next enjoy a boat cruise to the Island Maggiore, where you have lunch at a traditional restaurant located on the lake. Tonight a special Farewell Dinner is planned. - Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner |
Day 9 - Wednesday, 3/27/2024 - Fly Home to USA Transfer to Florence for your return flights home. - Breakfast |
