Day 1 - Friday, 7/19/2024 - Arrive Sea-Tac / To Tacoma Today arrive at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Meet your Tour Manager and transfer to Tacoma for a two-night stay. Tonight enjoy a Welcome Dinner with your fellow travelers. - Dinner |
Day 2 - Saturday, 7/20/2024 - Northwest Trek Wildlife Park / Mt. Rainier This morning visit the Northwest Trek Wildlife Park and enjoy a comfortable 50-minute tram tour through 435 acres of stunning meadows & forests, and get an eye-to-eye view of fascinating animals like moose, elk, bison and more as they explore their natural habitat. Then visit one of the nation’s great natural wonders, Mt. Rainier National Park. Ascending to 14,410 feet above sea level, Mt. Rainier is the focal point of the park. An active volcano, Mt. Rainier is the most glaciated peak in the contiguous U.S. Stop at the Henry M. Jackson Visitor Center, which offers exhibits and films along with food and shopping options. Later return to Tacoma for an evening at leisure. - Breakfast |
Day 3 - Sunday, 7/21/2024 - Olympic National Park Enjoy the scenery as you drive along the Washington Coast before entering extraordinary Olympic National Park. See panoramic vistas of the towering Olympic Mountains and the Strait of Juan de Fuca from mile-high Hurricane Ridge. Later arrive in Port Angeles for a two night stay. This evening enjoy dinner with your fellow travelers in this small seaside-meets-mountain town filled with history and beauty. - Breakfast - Dinner |
Day 4 - Monday, 7/22/2024 - Whale Watching Cruise Board your boat in Port Angeles for an exciting Whale Watching Cruise in search of humpback and orca whales. In recent years, the waters surrounding Port Angeles have become one of the best locations in North America for viewing humpback whales. Orca are often seen feeding in the area as well. The Strait of Juan de Fuca has been home of the famed “Humpback Comeback” of the Pacific Northwest with hundreds of humpbacks now choosing these cold, nutrient-rich waters as their feeding grounds. The black & white orca is a predator that hunts in pods, family groups of up to 40 whales. Enjoy the evening at your own pace in Port Angeles. - Breakfast |
Day 5 - Tuesday, 7/23/2024 - Ferry to Seattle After breakfast a short drive brings you to Port Townsend, Washington’s Victorian seaport & arts community with a maritime heritage, artist spirit and a touch of urban chic. Then head to Bainbridge Island & board a Washington State Ferry to cross the Puget Sound headed for spectacular Seattle for a two night stay. Tonight is on your own to explore the great city of Seattle filled with amazing restaurants. - Breakfast |
Day 6 - Wednesday, 7/24/2024 - Seattle Sightseeing This morning enjoy a Seattle City Tour. Start by visiting the Space Needle. Ride to the observation deck 520 feet above the city streets. Built for the 1962 World’s Fair, the iconic tower can feature views of the Cascades, Mt. Rainer, ferries, boats, seaplanes, & bustling downtown. Next visit Chihuly Garden & Glass, a monument to glass as art featuring a large portion of Dale Chihuly’s work. The city tour continues with historic Pioneer Square, and the Chittenden Locks & Fish Ladders. End your touring at the famous Pike Place Market. Built in 1903, the waterfront market is home of the flying fish & the original Starbuck’s Coffee. Enjoy the rest of the day to explore this wonderful city at your own pace. Day 7 - Thursday, 7/25/2024 - Return Home Today fly home with wonderful memories of your Waterways & Northwest National Parks tour. - Breakfast |
