Day 1 - Wednesday, 2/12/2020 - Fly to Cambodia
Home Pick-up and board your overnight flight to Cambodia. Enjoy in-flight meals while on board. - In-Flight Meal
Day 2 - Thursday, 2/13/2020 - Arrive Cambodia
Upon arrival, transfer to your beautiful hotel and relax. Tonight, enjoy a traditional Cambodian dinner. Welcome to Cambodia! - Dinner
Day 3 - Friday, 2/14/2020 - Siem Reap / Angkor Wat
Depart pre-dawn for a short drive to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Angkor Wat. Built in the 12th c. for King Suryavarman II. In the jungle, hear monkeys and see various flora and fauna. Finally, visit Angkor Thom, deliberately left mostly unrestored, tangled with undergrowth. Head back to the hotel to relax by the pool or stroll through town. Day 4 - Saturday, 2/15/2020 - Preah Khan
Today, travel to the archeological site of Preah Khan, also built in the 12th c. After a fascinating day, return to the hotel by mid-afternoon. Relax before an incredible acrobatic show at Phare Circus. - Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner
Day 5 - Sunday, 2/16/2020 - Embark on the Mekong
After breakfast, depart the hotel and embark on your gorgeous riverboat, the Tonle Pandaw. In the afternoon, enjoy a cocktail and meet the crew - Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner
Day 6 - Monday, 2/17/2020 - Koh Trong / Dolphins
Explore Koh Trong Island by bicycle or ox cart for immersion into Khmer rural life. Visit local schools and English classes. Feel free to donate school items such as books & pens, etc. Visit a reforestation site and plant a tree. After lunch, moor off Kratie. Take a local boat to the dolphin grounds to observe the elusive Irrawaddy Dolphins. - Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner
Day 7 - Tuesday, 2/18/2020 - Silk Island
Sail downstream all morning, with lectures and films, and up the Tonle River. Board your expedition boat, the Pandaw Explorer, and visit Koh Okhna Tey, or ‘silk island.’ Study the silk making process from worms to weavers. See the ancient Khmer martial art of Bokator. Return to the ship. Enjoy an evening lecture on Angkor and Khmer culture. - Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner
Day 8 - Wednesday, 2/19/2020 - Phnom Penh
Take a city tour on a cyclo of Phnom Penh. Visit the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, and the National Museum. Afternoon optional visit to the Killing Fields & Genocide Museum, or take a tuk-tuk to explore the riverfront and finish with High Tea at Raffles Hotel. Overnight onboard in Phnom Penh port with its lively bars, restaurants, and night life. - Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner
Day 9 - Thursday, 2/20/2020 - Enter Vietnam
At the Vietnam border, stop for formalities. Onboard is an optional tour of the ship and fruit carving classes on deck. This afternoon, explore the labyrinthine canal system around Tan Chau. Visit a Taoist temple where the monks read fortunes. Continue through local villages, stopping to help locals tend their fields. Visit a fish farm and earn merit by releasing fish back into the Mekong. - Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner
Day 10 - Friday, 2/21/2020 - Con Phuoc Island
Moor off Con Phuoc Island and explore the island by tuk-tuk. Visit a 100-year old Catholic Church, and see local artisans. This afternoon, coach to Gao Giong ‘green oasis’ bird sanctuary. Birds gather in the tens of thousands across the Duong Tharp Muoi or ‘Plain of Reeds’. Rowboats take you to see the principal nesting areas. - Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner
Day 11 - Saturday, 2/22/2020 - Ben Tre
Moor off Cho Lach Island for pot making and a culinary lesson in making traditional Banh Xeo. Cruise on, then travel by sampans through mangroves and bamboo groves to the fruit orchards of Ben Tre. Local artisans invite visitors into their homes for tea, fruit and products made from their own honey. Return by horse cart through the lush countryside. - Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner
Day 12 - Sunday, 2/23/2020 - Disembark / Ho Chi Minh City
Head out early to the floating markets. Disembark the ship and drive to Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon). Much of old Saigon survives and there is still a real L’Indochine feel to the place. - Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner - In-Flight Meal
Day 13 - Monday, 2/24/2020 - Cu Chi Tunnels / City Tour
Motor past villages to the extraordinary Cu Chi tunnels, a complicated underground network built by the Viet Cong guerillas. In the afternoon, visit the Reunification Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral, General Post Office, Former US Embassy, City Hall and War Museum of Remnants. End the day with shopping at Ben Thanh market. - Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner
Day 14 - Tuesday, 2/25/2020 - Fly Home
