Daily Itinerary:

Day 1 - Monday, 10/3/2022 - Fly to Pittsburgh
Welcome to Pittsburgh, where 2 rivers come together to form the Ohio River, thus the name City of Bridges (446 bridges to be exact).  Meet your Tour Manager and transfer to your centrally located, downtown hotel for 4 nights. Tonight, enjoy a Get Acquainted Dinner at our hotel with your fellow travelers. - Dinner
Day 2 - Tuesday, 10/4/2022 - City Tour / Duquesne Incline / Heinz Museum
Meet our local guide for a morning city tour of this historic and cultural city and learn of the innovative men that made it so great. See Fort Pitt at Point State Park, built by early settlers. Learn about the coal mines that lead to “Rivers of Steel” and Carnegie’s Homestead Steel Works. Ride the 1877 Duquesne Incline tram to the top of Mt. Washington for the Three Rivers view.  This afternoon tour the Heinz Historic Pittsburgh Museum, which tells the fascinating story of the city, both past and present. Arrive at the University of Pittsburgh’s Cathedral of Learning Tower to visit the 30 Nationality Classrooms, each donated by the ethnic groups who helped build the city. - Breakfast
Day 3 - Wednesday, 10/5/2022 - Day Trip to Fallingwater
Motor south and into the fabulous fall colors of the Laurel Highlands. Tour the magnificent Fallingwater home, considered Frank Lloyd Wright’s greatest residential design. Finished in 1935 for Edgar Kaufmann of the department store fame, this 22 room home is integrated into the natural landscape and filled with furniture designed by Wright himself. Next we visit a surprise destination for an included lunch. Return to Pittsburgh for some free time before cocktails. - Breakfast - Lunch
Day 4 - Thursday, 10/6/2022 - Phipps / Frick / Carnegie
Visit some of the world’s truly great museums today, including the 1893 Henry Phipps Conservatory Greenhouses, Henry Clay Frick’s (the coke king and Carnegie’s partner) mansion Clayton, and the world-class Carnegie Museum of Art & Natural History.  These buildings themselves are fantastic works of architecture.  Along the way, we drive down Shadyside’s 5th Avenue Millionaire’s Row, former home of industrial titans such as Westinghouse, Heinz, Frick, and Mellon. Return to your hotel and relax before free cocktails. Your Farewell Dinner tonight is at a fine local restaurant. - Breakfast - Dinner
Day 5 - Friday, 10/7/2022 - Hartwood Acres / Fly Home
Morning drive north to Allegheny County to tour Hartwood Acres, the 1929 Gothic Tutor country manor & 630 acre estate of Mary Flinn Lawrence, daughter of Senator William Flinn. Then, we arrive at the airport for your return flights home. - Breakfast
