Day 1 - Friday, 7/28/2023 - Fly to Seattle Today arrive at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Meet your Tour Manager and transfer to Seattle for a two-night stay. |
Day 2 - Saturday, 7/29/2023 - San Juan Islands Cruise After breakfast, head north to the beautiful town of Edmonds, a northern suburb of Seattle. Board your boat for a half day Whale Watching Cruise. In recent years, the Puget Sound has become one of the best locations in North America for viewing humpback whales. Orca are often seen feeding in the area as well. Return to Seattle and visit famous Pike Place Market. Built in 1903, the waterfront market is home of the flying fish & the original Starbuck’s Coffee. Enjoy the rest of the day to explore this wonderful city at your own pace. - Breakfast |
Day 3 - Sunday, 7/30/2023 - Seattle / Board Ship This morning enjoy a Seattle City Tour. Start by visiting the Space Needle. Ride to the observation deck 520 feet above the city. Built for the 1962 World’s Fair, the iconic tower can feature views of the Cascades, Mt. Rainer, ferries, boats, seaplanes, & downtown. Continue to historic Pioneer Square, and the Chittenden Locks & Fish Ladders. Later, board your ship, the ms Westerdam for your 7 Night Alaska Cruise. Depart through Puget Sound, keeping your eyes on the gorgeous scenery as you look for wildlife. - Breakfast - Dinner |
Day 4 - Monday, 7/31/2023 - At Sea Relax onboard Holland America Line’s first Signature-class ship, Eurodam. It has recently received many exciting updates. Enjoy the full Music Walk™ entertainment experience, including Lincoln Center Stage, B.B. King’s Blues Club, and Billboard Onboard. Explore onboard at BBC Earth Experiences. Day 5 - Tuesday, 8/1/2023 - Juneau (1-9PM) Begin with scenic cruising in Stephens Passage, one of the best whale-watching areas in the state. Cruise on to Juneau, Alaska. Surrounded by water, forest and mountain sights, visitors seeking things to do in Juneau can hike a glacier, eat fresh-caught fish on a seaside patio, and tour a grand capitol building all in one day. - Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner |
Day 6 - Wednesday, 8/2/2023 - Hubbard Glacier (2-6PM) An Alaska cruise toward Hubbard Glacier feels like you’re approaching another planet in a tiny space craft. It is that big and that otherworldly. Among all the vanishing Alaska glaciers, Hubbard has a rapidly advancing ice margin— up to seven feet in one day—earning it the nickname, “the Galloping Glacier.” Watch for the glacier’s three-story icebergs that cannon into crystal waters, a process called calving. It’s also colorful. On clear days, Hubbard turns a stunning deep blue and on cloudy ones, its many ripples and icebergs shimmer in soft light. - Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner |
Day 7 - Thursday, 8/3/2023 - Sitka (8AM-4PM) In Sitka you’ll see vestiges of Russia’s influence. Stroll past the onion dome of St. Michael’s Cathedral and the Russian Bishop’s House. Surrounded by the Tongass National Rainforest, nature abounds in Sitka. A walk up Castle Hill offers a view of Mount Edgecumbe, a dormant volcano. Visits to the Fortress of the Bear and Alaska Raptor Center are in order for any animal-lover. Day 8 - Friday, 8/4/2023 - Ketchikan (7AM-1PM) Ketchikan is an important hub of the salmon-fishing and packing industries. Visitors can try their luck at sportfishing or simply savor the fresh seafood. See intricately carved totem poles at the Totem Heritage Center and Totem Bight State Park. Saxman Village offers the chance to see Tlingit culture in action, with working carvers and a dance show in the clan house. Explore the town itself, including historic Creek Street, where you can shop for souvenirs, smoked salmon, and local art, while exploring gold rush–era attractions like Dolly’s House Museum. - Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner |
Day 9 - Saturday, 8/5/2023 - Victoria, BC, Canada (8PM-11:59PM) Arrive in lovely Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Be sure to see the Legislative Building, Empress Hotel, & scenic Oak Bay. This is a very English city, with double decker buses, hanging flower pots, and quaint shops. - Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner |
