Day 1 | Saturday, 2/6/2021 - Fly to Salt Lake City Today begins your winter adventure! Arrive in Salt Lake City, home of the 2002 Winter Olympics. Tonight, join your fellow travelers for a special Welcome Dinner. |
Day 2 | Sunday, 2/7/2021 - Mormon Tabernacle Choir / To Yellowstone A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity awaits you! Seating has been arranged at Temple Square, to hear the world famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s weekly broadcast performance. (Choir’s schedule permitting). Then, drive north past the Great Salt Lake, Hill Air Force Base, and Utah’s first settlement, Ogden. Enter Idaho and travel through the potato fields and in to the Island Park Region, world-famous for its outstanding trout fishing. After going over Targhee Pass, enter Montana and the town of West Yellowstone. |
Day 3 | Monday, 2/8/2021 - Yellowstone National Park This is your day to discover Yellowstone National Park (altitude 8,000’), via private chartered snowcoaches. The heated snowcoaches provide a clear view, while an experienced Yellowstone guide narrates. Visit Firehole Falls, Fountain Paint Pots and the world’s most famous geyser, Old Faithful. There will be plenty of time to witness Old Faithful’s dramatic display, have lunch on your own and explore the area. In the afternoon, enjoy a return trip to West Yellowstone with additional picture stops along the way. Arrive back in West Yellowstone with the evening free on your own. |
Day 4 | Tuesday, 2/9/2021 - National Elk Refuge / Jackson Hole Depart West Yellowstone and travel to the western town of Jackson (altitude 6,300’) at the base of the rugged Teton Mountains. After free time for lunch on your own in town, enjoy a fantastic winter experience at the National Elk Refuge. Get a close-up view as you take a horse drawn sleigh ride right into the massive heard on the Elk Refuge. Your sleigh driver and guide will explain the importance of the refuge. Then, visit the National Museum of Wildlife Art with its collection of nearly 2,300 works of art exploring humanity’s relationship with nature. This evening, return to Jackson and check into your hotel. After time to relax or to explore the shops and art galleries, join the group for dinner at a local restaurant. |
Day 5 | Wednesday, 2/10/2021 - To Salt Lake / Olympic Park Depart Jackson and travel through western Wyoming, surrounded by silver streams, soaring peaks, and lush meadows. Arrive in Evanston for lunch on your own, then travel to Utah Olympic Park. Enjoy a guided tour of the amazing facility that hosted the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. Many of the guides are winter Olympians in training. This evening you are back in Salt Lake City where you will join the group for a Farewell Dinner. |
Day 6 | Thursday, 2/11/2021 - Fly Home Transfer to Salt Lake Airport for your flight home. While this adventure is over, the experiences and memories will be yours for a lifetime! Note: This tour involves high altitude. Please check with your doctor, if you have any health conditions affected by high altitude. |
