Today, we will visit two fantastic DuPont mansions, both elegant estates in their own ways.  First, we drive south into Delaware to tour the opulent Nemours mansion, former home of Alfred du Pont.  Using his vast fortune from inventing smokeless gunpowder, Alfred built a classical French chateau country estate in 1910 and filled it with antiques, art and tapestries from the 1700's. This afternoon, tour incredible Longwood Gardens, the former home of Pierre du Pont.  Built between 1907-14, these formal French gardens are filled with fountains, water jets, greenhouses, and a Chime Tower.
