Daily Itinerary:
Day 1
Thursday, 2/22/2018 - To New Orleans
Home Pick-up and transfer to the airport. Arrive in New Orleans, The Big Easy, and transfer to our riverfront hotel connected to the Riverwalk Shopping Center (former site of the World’s Fair).  Relax, explore the French Quarter,  or make an optional visit to the National World War II Museum.  Tonght is free so you can enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, or join your tour manager for a meal at her favorite restaurant.
Day 2
Friday, 2/23/2018 - City Tour / Embark
Enjoy a morning guided city tour including the French Quarter, Jackson Square, the Garden District, St. Louis Cemetery, St.Charles streetcar, and much more. This afternoon, board the American Queen Steamboat. After you are comfortably aboard the vessel, enjoy a cocktail party as you wave “Au Revoir” to New Orleans and embark on an incredible adventure up the mighty river.
Day 3
Saturday, 2/24/2018 - Nottoway Plantation
Tour Nottoway Plantation, the South’s largest remaining antebellum mansion. The mansion flaunts three-floors, 64-bedrooms, and displays  22 white square columns which contribute to its’ nickname—“The White Castle of Louisiana.” The most popular room among guests is the White Ballroom, painted entirely in white with elaborate gold décor throughout. Rooms are trimmed in a custom plaster frieze made from Spanish moss, clay, plaster, and mud. Also, the mansion has 365 openings—one for each day of the year. Enjoy a guided walking tour as you explore its pristine interior followed by a stroll through the surrounding lush grounds and gardens.
Day 4
Sunday, 2/25/2018 - Oak Alley
Disembark and walk across the street to enjoy the beauty of Oak Alley, the “Grande Dame of the Great River Road.” The quarter-mile canopy of giant live oak trees, believed to be nearly 300 years old, forms an impressive avenue leading to the classic Greek-revival style antebellum home. Oak Alley’s setting will remind you of Gone with the Wind. Enjoy a guided tour of the Big House and explore the magnificent grounds.
Day 5
Monday, 2/26/2018 - Bellingrath Gardens
Disembark back in New Orleans, board your deluxe motorcoach and head east to Alabama. Discover magnificent Bellingrath Gardens, the passion of Coca Cola factory magnate Walter Bellingrath and his philanthropic wife, Bessie. Something is always in bloom, and in February you will see camellias, daffodils, hyacinths, pansies, saucer magnolia, swiss chard, Taiwan cherries, tulips,  violas, and some azaleas. Tour the gardens and home before heading west to Biloxi, Mississippi and our oceanfront casino resort. Enjoy your Farewell Dinner at a fine local restaurant.
Day 6
Tuesday, 2/27/2018 - To New Orleans / Fly Home
After breakfast, the Biloxi shrimping trip takes you on a real shrimping expedition. Learn everything about catching, cooking, and eating this delicious southern delicacy, Mississippi Gulf Coast style. Then, return to the airport for your flight home.
